A weekend in Port Aransas

This weekend we decided to drive up to Port A! We wanted to get in one last fun weekend before they are filled with basketball games & football practices. Oh, & we celebrated my birthday :)

 We took a ferry for the first time ever and it lasted all about 5 minutes... literally

All I wanted for my birthday was to spend time with these guys and relaxation. 

It was a much needed trip and definitely helped me get over the fact that I'm getting old haha!

we played with seagulls...

we caught crabs...

we ate...

we searched for seashells...

we saw a star fish....

And we all tried to get Brody to actually go into the dang water.....(unsuccessful)

It was a great trip

Brody turned 2!

Better late than never...

Brody turned 2 on the 15th and it totally snuck up on us. We celebrated with swimming, cousins, friends and a yummy cake that I put so much love and time into (Brody refused to try it)

Oh, Summer....

A couple of weekends ago Phil and I jetted off to a concert we've been waiting for.... we've literally waited about 6 months for this weekend!

Let's just say everything turned out even better than expected. Except the tubing part... Phil was not a huge fan, but he was definitely a trooper. We experienced the best time ever! We saw Slightly Stoopid, Stick Figure and Pepper. We even got to meet the famous Cocoa the dog :) We laughed, we danced, we sang all while standing a few feet away from these wonderful performers.

It was perfect.

We had such a crazy-busy weekend, but it was so worth it!

I hate saying goodbye to my family & we can't wait to visit again. 

Summer 2018 is near....

The smell of chlorine is in the air.... 

Mosquitoes are munching....

Flowers are blooming....

Our skin is soaking up the sunrays....

All we want to do is bbq and sit by the pool.

There is literally one month left of school for the boys :)

We already started celebrating by spending the evenings jumping in the pool. 

Bring it on Summer, we are ready for ya!

 Stay cool, it gets hotter from here on out.
