Peace out Middle School Football!

And just like that middle school football is over. I live for football nights! I can't wait for High School.... even though It's not the same from when I was in High School in a small town....now that's legit Friday Night Lights😜 Phillip's biggest fans came out to support him on one of his last games and this mama's heart couldn't be more happy! Here's a few highlights from Football 2019!

My dearest Talin...

Tal,
my sweet little 8yr old. This morning as I was waking you up & tickling you I noticed your toothless little smile is soon to be filled with your forever teeth. I wanted to cry my heart out & curse out time. I hate how fast you are growing....thankful for the healthy young man you are becoming, but gosh does it suck. You are so smart & so competitive it sometimes worries me, but honestly it's what I love most about you. Remember that day your little brother destroyed your lego spaceship and you refused to let me help you? Well I was pretty impressed that in a complete meltdown you were able to use your little imagination & turn it into something pretty cool. I just wanted you to know I love you so much & that I'm so proud of you! That's all... Brody keeps asking why I'm crying and I told him because I love Tal's little smile. Hahaha he's so confused.

Summer in Colorado 2019

Finally uploading a few pics form our Colorado trip. I probably should not be doing this today on the first day back to school. The boys are gone & I'm here balling like a baby realizing time is flying by. I remember my dad telling me that once you hit 18 time flies by in the blink of an eye....boy was he right. Why was I in such a hurry to be an "adult"  I just want to cherish every minute with my guys. We had the best time bouncing from tent to cabin to hotel. The camping part was by far the best. I think this mamma has camping/packing down. It started off a little rough with 2 of our tribe members getting sick 😆 After they recovered on the second day everything was pretty much heaven.
Thank you beautiful, colorful Colorado for giving us some pretty sweet memories.
Maybe one day we won't  have to say goodbye.

Ugly Dolls Movie (mom & son date night)

Hey, hey! Happy Thursday!
So, yesterday the boys and I were so lucky to go to an advance screening for Ugly Dolls.
Usually when we go to a kid movie I prepare myself for at least a full hour of napping. It's a moment to have peace without any fighting and tattling over who farted on who. Last night  went a little different. It was just the two boys and myself. We rushed out the door, threw up the deuces to the hubs and the horrible two year old screaming down the entryway.
Once we got there we were so excited to find VIP seats & fun goodies. Now, I was a little worried that the boys would complain... just because the title had the word "dolls" in it.  Guess what... not ONE mention of it.
We laughed and I think I even teared up a bit. By the time the ending came around I couldn't believe I stayed awake the entire time. Ugly dolls will definitely be going on my favorite list for kid flicks. The message behind the entire movie is pretty powerful.  After the movie the boys and I had a talk about what they got out of the movie. Their answer was that everyone is unique in their own way... and that's okay! Every kid and adult should know that. Especially in the world today with social media & everyone aiming for perfection. It's okay to have flaws and little imperfections. What is perfect anyway?

Let's Go Bears!

2018 was full of firsts for our little crew. One big one was football. It was Phillip's first year playing and it was definitely a hit. Literally. He loved it! Probably as much as I loved watching him. Thankfully we ended it with no injuries and pretty excited for next year!
